take a sip of ale that a king once drank

Ever daydream about sitting back eating some grapes and cheese, while sipping on some beer that could have been sipped by King Midas? Well you now can! Dogfish Head Brewery teamed up with molecular archaeologist Patrick McGovern to recreate a brew that was discovered in an ancient tomb that is believed to have belonged to King Midas.

After they performed a chemical analysis on a vessel that had once contained some kind of liquid in it, it was revealed to have reside of grape, honey, and barley beer inside. This discovery lead the team at Dogfish head and McGovern to create even more ancient ale creations. Science!!
