The Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), a nonprofit community of adults who share one simple belief: learning never truly ends. ILR is an academic program without the pressure of grades, credits, or prerequisites. It’s peer-led, participation-driven, and built entirely on the idea that curiosity doesn’t retire. They came to us with a challenge many mission-driven organizations face — a website that didn’t reflect the warmth, intellectual energy, and sense of belonging that defines their in-person community. We set out to fix that.
The end result is a website that finally matches the community behind it — warm, inviting, and intellectually rich, just like ILR itself. It translates that same in-person warmth into a digital experience that feels genuinely human, while making it simple for prospective members to understand ILR’s offerings, browse courses, and take that first step toward joining.
