This week’s website showcase is for the exceptionally talented, not to mention muy delicioso, Flanders Donut & Bake Shop located in East Lyme, CT. A family owned and run business since 1972, they are bakers extraordinaire that produce sensationally delectable donuts, pastries, bagels & rolls – we speak from first hand experience because Greg (the owner) brought some of their freshly baked donuts with him to the meeting, and we couldn’t get enough of them!
Greg came to us with the request to design a website that was both modern in design and had a mild retro feel to it to compliment their well known logo. The website palette echoes the burgundy red and ochre yellow colors from the logo and gives the website a bright, friendly and exciting feel to it, and that’s just from the use of the colors! Add in the high-res photos and cutouts of their different bakery items sprinkled throughout the site, and before you know it your stomach will start growling and you’ll be craving some carbs! If you’re ever in the East Lyme area, we highly recommend that you stop by and give your tastebuds a well deserved treat!
