It may look like the futuristic city from Blade Runner, but what you are seeing is actually a microscopic image created through a method called Immunofluorescence – a technique where researchers stain molecules with fluorescent dyes, illuminating and differentiating the various networks within an animal. Like in the example above you can see the muscle fibers in the cyan color, while the nerves are in yellow. It’s mesmerizing sight to behold!
