the real deal in soy sauce

Did you know that the traditional way of making soy sauce takes over 2 years, and that the process dates back to the 7th Century? This video is about a family that has been keeping the traditional way of making soy sauce alive for the past 5 generations. They create bamboo barrels by hand, and these barrels will house the soybeans that will ferment in them for 2 whole years. Soy sauce that is created commercially only takes a couple of months, but the taste between the two is very different and the soy sauce that is created traditionally is undeniably delicious!
