Launched last year, we designed (along with founder Dave Tourjé) and built a very unique website for The Chouinard Foundation out of Los Angeles. We recently found out from Dave that the site has won a web award from Designfirms! Pretty neat, check out the site! Chouinard »
We are giddy over Spielberg’s newest film Lincoln, with Daniel Day-Lewis as the legendary president. As an unbelieveable actor (you saw There Will Be Blood, right?), he is the one person who can pull off this role. Incredible, it comes out in November!
This is magical and awesome, and makes me so happy. Everyone’s favorite kitchen tool, the Sledge-O-Matic, is back and this time in glorious slo-mo. The camera work is so great, and who does’t want to see a flaming sledgehammer smash a watermelon? It’s pure fun, check it out!
I don’t know about the rest of the country, but here in Connecticut it is feeling like Fall already. That means festivals, fairs, pumpkins, apples, and of course, halloween! If you are near a city, check out Watson Adventures, they host halloween-themed scavenger hunts all over the country. Super fun. Watson »
Thanks to all the creative minds that came to Alex’s talk on Wednesday! There was a great turnout and great feedback too. I think Alex succeeded in inspiring everyone in the room as well as delivering some stable and workable business solutions. The Hartford Adobe Group meets once per month, check out their calendar for more activities for creatives!
Also, thanks to Scott for organizing the event and inviting us to be there! Meetup »
Just a quick peek at some projects that we are wrapping up on and getting ready to launch in the next few weeks! There’s always lots to do here, and the final product is definitely the payoff. Keep your eyes peeled at these projects for landscape architects in Chicago, a celebrity dog trainer in Malibu, and a breast cancer awareness foundation. Check out our portfolio for the newest projects!
We were lucky to make friends with some very talented artists while we were at art school. We’ve shared a couple with you before (Patrick Murphy and Meg Hunt). shawn is working as a comic book artist, teacher, and comic-con goer, and he’s the single most persistent artist we know. and that is why you will see his name across the cover of Marvel or DC very soon. Alex will be giving a lecture this Wednesday in West Hartford at the Hartford Adobe Group Meetup. “Starting and Maintaining a Creative Company” is the topic, and we are so excited to have been asked to do this! It’s great to be recognized for what we’ve created with our business, and Alex is looking forward to helping out our fellow creative types. RSVP if you want to come! It’s free! meetup »
We first heard about this artist from his cover work on the DC comic Fables. Beautiful paintings, his personal work is very enigmatic and weaves together some interesting mythology and cryptic symbols. Very mysterious and emotional. Browse through his portfolio and check out his blog, there’s some cool in-process sketches there as well. Happy art friday! feral-kid »
Do you want to see something cool? Do you always wonder how people can draw or paint something that looks so realistic? This 2-minute time-lapse video will show you just that. Really neat, the guy makes it look so easy. Enjoy!
