Easter’s coming soon, and of course that means the 134th Annual Easter Egg Roll on the White House lawn. This star-studded family event is filled with silliness and, let’s face it, it’s weird. But great too. You can see highlights from other years (including the president reading where the wild things are), as well as some interesting vintage pics, like the one above from the 1923 event. History at every turn!

Do you yearn to explore interesting and unusual places? Now is your chance to find one! International Obscura Day is April 28th, a day to celebrate all these strange, unknown, or unusual places around the world. Check out the website to find an event near you. In Chicago you might tour the Busy Beaver Button Museum, in Boston you might try the “Bound to End Badly” event at the Boston Athenaeum. Go discover something new!
Last year’s highlights:
Being so modest, you’d never know that Alex is a really excellent photographer. He’s shot all the food for Café Routier, as well as The Corner Restaurant. He’s done most of the interior photography for Judy Cook Interiors, as well as the newest photos for Judy you see here! We’ll also share his newest shoot from the Cooking Company very soon!

We love to see when our clients are succeeding! We are in the works doing a website for internationally ranked figure & speed skater Jacki Munzel. She’s also an instructor for youth hockey team the Long Island Royals, and NHL.com featured her in their miniseries about the team. Watch the video here. and newsday.com just published an article about her Olympic goals! Go Jacki!
I think by now lots of you have heard about the new kid Pinterest, a social media website for sharing photos/inspiration/randomness with other users through pins and pinboards. It’s neat, and it seems that there’s lots of ideas on how to use it to your advantage from a marketing viewpoint.

Check out La Photocabine, an online photo booth where you can step behind the virtual curtain and use your computer’s webcam to take pics! Pick your arrangement (vertical or square), and color or black & white. you can print, download or share your photo strip! Pretty neat »
Next week is obviously St. Patrick’s day, a great, green-filled holiday for sure. But don’t miss the festivities this weekend including the Hartford Parade on Saturday, and the New Haven Parade on Sunday. Of course those of you in Chicago won’t miss the river-dyeing and parade next weekend!

Here are a few more things coming up pretty soon!

I know we have mentioned this excellent bakery in Orange, CT before, but not long ago, owner Jeff surprised us at a project meeting with a dozen delicious cupcakes to take home. Oh my, they were delicious! If we could share them via the internet, we would. Take a trip and try them out! Julia’s »
A good friend of ours (actually, the best man at our wedding) recently became a Portlander. Not the Connecticut variety, the Oregon variety. Well we miss him, but he recently shared this awesome animation he helped create with a studio out there. All about leap day!
